The fine print
Cookies & Storage
Last updated: 16 June 2026
We like to keep this simple. Scrapyard Showdown doesn't run advertising or analytics cookies. Instead, we save a small amount of information in your browser's local storage so the game works the way you'd expect. Here's exactly what that covers.
What we store, and why
- Age confirmation— so you're not asked to confirm you're 18 or over on every single visit.
- Your storage choice— whether you selected “Accept All” or “Essential Only” on our notice, so we don't keep asking.
- Game preferences — small settings such as whether sound is on or off, so the game opens the way you left it.
What we don't do
- We don't use advertising or marketing cookies.
- We don't run third-party analytics or tracking.
- We don't build a profile of you or share this data.
“Accept All” vs “Essential Only”
Because we only use storage for the essentials above, both choices keep the game working. Your selection simply records your preference. We'd only ever add new categories of storage after updating this notice and asking you again.
Clearing your local data
You're in control. You can remove everything this site keeps on your device at any time using the button below, or by clearing site data through your browser's settings. After clearing, you'll see the age confirmation and storage notice again next time you visit.
